A journey in the land of coffee

The exhibition aims to analyse the intense relationship between Italy and Brazil having coffee as a starting point.

The first section is dedicated to the history of the strict bond that links Brazil and Italy; the second part offers a wide view about sustainability of Brazilian coffee production. The exhibition is a journey from the past to the present, following the great passion shared by the two populations. After all is thanks to the Brazilian coffee bean that Italy became a worldwide leading country in roasting art. Moreover the Brazilian agribusiness wouldn’t be the same without the arrival of 1,4 million Italian immigrants arrived in South America between 1870 and 1920 to work in the farms around S. Paulo.

Exhibition realized by the Coffee Museum in Santos in collaboration with the Embassy of Brazil in Rome.
